Thunderbirds perform at the Littleton Library
It's show time...Thrill to 30 plus minutes of non-stop action, audience
participation and education in this show as the parrots perform exciting
tricks to music and the cues of renowned animal trainer and performer,
John Vincent.
The "Thunderbirds" show consists of six colorful and exotic
parrots; Macaws, Cockatoos, an Amazon and an African Gray. Throughout
the show you will learn about each one.
Panji, the Cockatoo, does the opening act
Panji, who might be the single most talented Parrot in the country, opens the show by clowning around with a bell, misbehaving, and making promises he will not keep. The kids yell and scream with laughter.
Then Panji get serious by reenacting a science experiment on animal intelligence and problem solving using food on a rope and then putting a puzzle together, matching both shape and colors.
But Panji is still not done! It is time to have some fun, so Panji rides his scooter and his bike, and then roller skates around the table (like he did for Animals Planet's "Pet Star").
John also takes some time to give a short demonstration on how the Parrots are trained using all positive reinforcement.
Big Air ...
It's Macaw Time (the largest of the Parrot family with their 4 foot wing span) Enjoy the thrill as Crackers and Boomer make some brilliant flights for the audience.
Hang on to your seats for the Finale!
The parrot Olympics... The parrots begin with the raising of the American flag. Then Crackers and Panji compete in a 1-on-1 basketball slam dunk competition and comedy act. Then it is on to gymnastics where two birds compete on the uneven bars
.
But Still More..
American Gladiators has nothing on the Thunderbirds, when the Parrots go head to head running a gravity defying Obstacle Course with tunnels, ladders, ropes, and poles.
WOW... Be amazed as the Large Brilliantly Colored Parrots Do Unbelievable Stunts
Only in Florida could anything like this hope to be seen.
After the show the audience is invited to meet the stars and John answers questions.
